Louise
Communications co-production group memberI'm a stay-at-home mum with an English degree, splitting my time between home educating my youngest son and working on my first novel! I joined the resident communications group as I believed it would be an amazing opportunity to gain marketing and communications experience from a respected team, all the while helping make things more accessible for my fellow residents.

Communications co-production group memberI’m a long term resident and strong believer in the importance of us having a say in what goes out to our community. While I work full-time, the team have made it easy for me to be included when it fits my schedule. I love seeing behind the scenes and putting the community touch to communications.

Iain
Communications co-production group memberI enjoy collaborating to find creative communication solutions that leave a positive impact. I try my best to advocate for those who need it. My background includes a wide range of creativity, home maintenance, compliance auditing and community engagement, giving me a strong foundation in analysis and understanding diverse perspectives. My passion for communication production is fueled by hobbies like photography, stagecraft, audio-visual production, and even the science of cooking – all of which contribute to my creative approach. I'm eager to bring my skills to a collaborative team. I'm committed to ensuring residents' voices are heard at West Kent. I value the association's commitment to clear, fair and accessible communication, which is essential for effective resident representation and informed decision-making.

Porter
I'm Porter, a highly trained assistance dog and professional meeting attendee. I love accompanying my human to meetings – it's a great opportunity to practice my 'lie quietly under the table' skills, which I've pretty much perfected. As dogs, we are masters of communication, especially reading body language and emotion. If I could give one piece of advice: pay more attention to your dogs! We're always trying to tell you something, sometimes humans don't translate our body language properly. I'm a big believer in positive reinforcement – it works wonders, trust me! I'm also a registered Pets as Therapy dog, spreading a little joy wherever I go. When I'm off-duty, you can find me enjoying long walks (sniffing all the smells), enjoying cuddles and playing with my favourite toy, my sheepskin.

I’ve been a West Kent resident for 12 years, and soon after became an involved resident.
