We have created a Home Improvements Policy and would like you to review this before we share with all of our residents and staff. We currently allow some home improvements but don’t have dedicated policy for this.
This new policy aims to have a standardised approach as well as balancing the rights of residents to personalise and make reasonable improvements to their homes, with the need to maintain safety and compliance with regulations and tenancy agreements.
While creating the policy, we have taken the opportunity to review our current approach to home improvements to make it easier for residents to make certain improvements and it has also been agreed that we would take on the repair responsibility for some improvements if it’s something we would normally repair.
