We're delighted to announce a new partnership project with Chartway Partnerships Group, the leading land-led housebuilder, to develop 27 new homes for the community of Manston, on the outskirts of the coastal town of Ramsgate in Kent.

The Manston Gardens development will provide a diverse range of housing options, including shared ownership and affordable rent homes. Prospective residents can choose from one- and two-bedroom apartments and two- and three-bedroom houses, with the first completions anticipated late Spring 2024.

Situated on a former allotment, the development aligns with the approved Manston Green initiative, contributing to the broader expansion of Manston and adding to the 785 new homes for the area.

On completion, Manston Gardens will provide new public gardens and green spaces surrounded by a total of 88 new homes, 61 of which will be private sale homes from Westerhill Homes by Chartway.

Adam Jenner, Head of Property Development at West Kent Housing Association commented: "This development poses a great opportunity to work again with one of South East England's leading housebuilders and for us to continue to grow our homes in management in Thanet. We have built a strong relationship with Thanet District Council in recent years and look forward to delivering quality new homes with Chartway."

Gavin Hunt, COO at Chartway Partnerships Group added: "We are delighted to be building on our established relationship with West Kent Housing Association, who have an exceptional reputation for providing quality homes and community services. Together, we are committed to creating a vibrant, inclusive community at Manston Gardens which supports the Chartway vision to deliver new homes for everyone."

The development's location offers residents the best of both worlds – a tranquil living environment on the outskirts of Manston and easy access to the vibrant coastal town of Ramsgate. Residents will enjoy the famous Sandy Beaches and Royal Harbour, along with a bustling Cafe Culture and scenic walks.

Manston Gardens is surrounded by local amenities, including shops, restaurants, and sports facilities. The well-known Westwood Cross shopping centre is just a five-minute drive away, providing convenient retail options. For those looking to explore further afield, the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury and the charming market town of Faversham are easily accessible.

As West Kent and Chartway join forces, Manston Gardens emerges as an exciting addition to the landscape of quality living in Kent.

The development will be complete in May 2024. For further information about the homes available at Manston Gardens, please visit our buy a home page.

West Kent marks Transgender Awareness Week

This Transgender Awareness Week, we took a step toward in building inclusive communities by hosting a lunch and learn session. Led by Lio, a West Kent resident and member of the transgender community, the session was an eye-opening opportunity to explore the importance of trans-inclusion in our everyday lives.
