Repton Court residents came together with staff from West Kent and partners who helped with the development of the scheme, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of its opening in October 2022.

Repton Court is an example of West Kent’s commitment to being the leading provider of housing for older people in Kent. The scheme provides spacious and secure living for over-55's in Ashford.

Tracy Allison, Chief Executive of West Kent said.

"Looking at the way we worked with Taylor Wimpey, I think the thing that's been really stands out for me is just how much they cared about getting it right. They were really proud of the way in which they were making the scheme 'Dementia Friendly' by having different colour schemes on different floors.

I think using the communal space and making sure that it was welcoming so that there would be somewhere for people to come together and build a new community is key."

The development of Repton Court has been made possible thanks to the collaboration between West Kent and a range of partners.
