Last week our Chair and Chief Executive shared the following with staff ‘At our recent Board meeting we discussed the Black Lives Matter campaign and reflected on West Kent’s role in local communities. The Board and Executive Team are unequivocal in our commitment to combat racism in all forms. Recent events are challenging all of us to consider what more we can do.’

The Board has set up a working group to consider how we ensure diversity and inclusion as an employer, in how we deliver our services and in our work with communities. We are keen to hear ideas on how we can improve. If you would like to be involved or have comments or suggestions to share please email residentinvolvement@wkha.org.uk

West Kent marks Transgender Awareness Week

This Transgender Awareness Week, we took a step toward in building inclusive communities by hosting a lunch and learn session. Led by Lio, a West Kent resident and member of the transgender community, the session was an eye-opening opportunity to explore the importance of trans-inclusion in our everyday lives.
