Compliance status
The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Autocomplete attributes are missing on all forms, which means browsers cannot help users fill in forms with known information, such as their name and email address. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.5 (Identify Input Purpose). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- The feedback form featured in the Google translate plugin doesn’t feature any labels. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- The border used on form inputs does not meet the contrast ratio colour thresholds. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.11 (Non-text Contrast) We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Not all interactive components on a page, such as buttons or menus, are far enough apart from other interactive areas, to avoid them being used by mistake. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.8 (Target Size). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- When using a screen reader to navigate a table menu, it isn’t obvious what heading the cell refers to. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Some elements incorrectly feature a #, which suggests an anchor link. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- On our side menu open/close and login page, links are not defined in a specific way to be accessed by screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Page headings are used very infrequently and using incorrect semantic order across the site. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- The main navigation menu and My Requests page items aren’t coded as a semantic list, so does not provide a clear structure for navigation. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion1.3.6 (Identify Purpose). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Some menu items rely on visual icon to signify a dropdown menu, and do not contain markups to tell the user that the submenu navigation is currently hidden or collapsed. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Some link text is not descriptive, using ‘here’ to indicate a link. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.9 (Link Purpose). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- The <label> element is used incorrectly or unnecessarily to display static data in various places. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Some links on the homepage do not take you to the expected destination page. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
- Downloading a custom transaction summary requires the user to look out for a visual indicator in the submenu. The menu indicator only reads out a number, which is not descriptive. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.3 (Status Messages). We are currently working with our website developer and plan to correct this issue by December 2026.
PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
