We aim to add value and deliver long-term economic, social, and environmental benefits to our communities in all that we do. Where possible, we work in partnership with like-minded local organisations, providers and suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Social Value refers to the additional economic, social, and environmental benefits that suppliers commit to deliver as part of their contractual obligations to us. These make a positive impact on our residents and local communities.
We work in partnership to deliver Social Value across these themes:
- The West Kent Community Chest is a grant scheme which funds projects to help our residents and local groups build successful and resilient communities.
- We seek to create employment and training opportunities for residents, particularly those who face barriers to employment.
- We work with suppliers and other partners to improve community spaces.
- We respond to requests to assist individual vulnerable residents who would benefit from specific support, and work with suppliers to source funding for projects to support vulnerable residents.
